MEDFORD, Ore.-- It's a week long celebration of local craft beers, that is also expected to help the local economy.
Shenanigans is one of the sponsors for Medford Beer Week and they think it will help "brew" up some business for them and the other restaurants and bars participating.
Southern Oregon Brewing Company in Medford is an active participant in beer week, hosting several events in their tap room.
The owner, Tom Hammond, says if people know about the great beer that can be made in southern oregon, it will have people "hop"ing into town.
Hammond says Medford Beer Week will have people thinking local and drinking local.
Chris Dennett, the event organizer, hopes this will be a building year for Medford Beer Week and it will become more successful over the years.
