TALENT, Ore., -- Police arrived at a Talent RV park late Saturday night to find a woman bleeding heavily from 3 stab wounds. Police Chief Mike Moran says Saturday night's stabbing was one of the more violent crimes he remembers in the small community.

It happened around 10:00 at the American RV Park. Police say 47-year-old Chanelle Riggs, of Nevada, stabbed her father's girlfriend, 55-year-old Sandra Burke. Apparently, the two started arguing and police say Riggs used a box-cutter style knife to stab Burke.

"Inside the RV was where the struggle occurred. The victim then ran out from the residence and ran down the driveway through the park towards Wal-Mart," recalled Chief Moran.

Burke was released from the hospital early Sunday afternoon. Police say alcohol was involved and they are continuing their investigation. Among Riggs' charges are 1st and 2nd degree assault. Police say her bail is set at more than $2 million because she is from out of state and is a flight risk.
