ASHLAND, Ore. -- Local men and women are telling their stories, while helping a cause.
It's called "The Hearth Project" and features real stories by regular people. Six local people come together every three months to tell their stories revolving around a central theme. Last nights theme was "Change."
Organizers say the goal is to connect people in the community.
"We have landscapers, accountants, stay at home moms, retired professors, all kinds of walks of life, telling true stories about their own life and it's a chance for them to be more human, to hear about what's going on inside," Organizer Mark Yaconelli.
Proceeds from each event go to a local non-profit. Last night, it benefited The Maslow Project, which helps homeless and at-risk youth. "The Hearth Project" happens once a season, and will meet again in January.
