Eugene, Ore. -- The Oregon Ducks have defeated the Washington Huskies seven straight times, which in tern has diminished the competitive rivalry shared between the two schools. Washington enterend 2011 after winning it's first bowl game in forever. This season UW is (6-2, 4-1) and are primed to renew the spirited competition between the two schools.
That sentiment is shared by most of the players, but not head coach Chip Kelly, who is aware of the teams past, but will not put any added emphasis on Saturday's game. Instead Kelly keeps his team focused by emphasizing every week is Oregon's Super Bowl.
In order for the Ducks to beat the Dogs they'll have to shut down or control Washington's explosive offensive weapons. Mainly sophomore quarterback Keith Price who's already thrown 23 touchdowns on the season and running back Chris Polk who is over 1,000 yards for 2011, with 9 touchdowns.
Saturday in Seattle it's the Ducks and Huskies. Kickoff is at 7:30 and we'll have full highlights on KEZI 9 Sports at 11pm.
