MEDFORD, Ore. -- A third hat has been thrown in the ring, hoping to be Jackson County's next District Attorney.
Dave Hoppe officially announced his candidacy this afternoon to replace Mark Huddleston, who is retiring. Hoppe has spent the last 10 years as a Deputy District Attorney for Jackson County. He says he wants the D.A.'s office to work more closely with victims, and he credits his experience working with victims of abuse and sexual assault.
"You're working with children, you're working battered wives, you're working with rape victims and survivors, you build that compassion, you build that desire to serve those clients and get results, get justice," says Hoppe.
Hoppe joins Rob Patridge, and current Deputy District Attorney Beth Heckert in the race for D.A.
