We have a lot of different ways to get you your forecast, but here is one you are only going to find right here right now. It is the outlook for the next 90 days: December, January, and February. Based on everything we've talked about, all indications point to an above average year for temperatures across the southern states. That is fairly typical for a La Nina pattern.
This is also fairly typical, the entire West Coast will experience below average. The northern tier states will also experience a below average temperature year.
Here is what we expect for precipitation. The south will experience below average precipitation for the next 3 months, and what's going on for the Pacific Northwest? La Nina is going to keep it wetter than average - and not just for Pacific Northwest but well into California.
It looks like we will be seeing wetter than average precipitation.
