In each game this season you can count on two things from Brandon Williams. He's going to score about three touchdowns and he'll average 12 yards each time he touches the ball. Those two stats tell everything about his athletic ability, but nothing about who he is as a person.
"The attention he's gotten, he'd prefer to have it go to the team. And I think that's what makes him special is he cares about the other guys cares about his teammates before himself," said Challengers' head coach Jon Gettman.
"I don't feel it's my place to take credit for all those touchdowns. So i feel the whole team worked to get in that position to score. I just happen to be the one running for the touchdown," said Willams.
Williams attitude is a symbol for this entire Cascade Christian team, trusting each other
"If we don't trust each other there's doubt and if there's doubt we can't function as a team," said Williams.
Williams says there's zero doubt in his teams ability to take down number 1 Sanitam Chrisitan in the state semifinals Saturday. If they want any chance they'll need him to do what he does best.
"I think it's great vision. His feet don't stop moving he's always running through and that's the best thing you can say about a running back. His feet don't stop moving on contact," Gettman said.
And he's not a big guy 150 pounds. But to him size is irrelevant.
(Brandon williams says, "I'm going to give it 110 percent. I'll say a little prayer and just know win or lose i gave it my all for the team.")
And in the end thats all anyone can ever ask for.
