JACKSONVILLE, Ore. -- It's officially the Christmas season and the holiday spirit is starting its trip through the Rogue Valley.
Spectators viewing the parade were filled with good spirits Friday night. There will be music and performance, all leading up to the Jacksonville Tree Lighting.
Jacksonville is sometimes called the timeless town, with its old-fashioned main street, and the celebrations for Christmas are just the same with carolers in period clothing and roasted chestnuts.
A few weeks ago, the boughs of holly and Christmas lights were strung up in front of every storefront on Main Street to prepare for the holiday season.
